Listing Guidelines

Effective July 11, 2026

These guidelines explain what belongs on Venturer when you publish an event, deal, or league for your organization. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service. Following them keeps listings trustworthy for the people who discover them — and listings that break them may be removed, and repeat or serious violations can lead to losing admin access or having your organization removed.

1. What belongs on Venturer

Publish real events, deals, and leagues that your organization actually runs and is authorized to promote. Good listings:

  • describe a genuine offering people can attend or redeem;
  • have accurate names, descriptions, times, locations, and prices;
  • use clear, relevant cover images you have the rights to; and
  • are things you intend to honor as written.

2. Be accurate and honest

Listings are how people decide where to go and what to spend money on, so they must be truthful. Do not:

  • list wrong times, places, or prices, or offers that don’t exist;
  • advertise a discount or deal you won’t actually honor;
  • use bait pricing or misleading claims to draw people in; or
  • post deceptive offers, fake giveaways, or suspicious links.

If the details of a live listing change, update it or take it down.

3. No spam or duplicates

Keep the map useful by posting each offering once. Do not:

  • create duplicate listings for the same event, deal, or league;
  • repost the same thing to appear higher or more often; or
  • publish junk, filler, or irrelevant listings.

For anything that recurs, use the repeating schedule options instead of posting a new listing each time.

4. Keep it appropriate

Listings are seen by a general audience, including users as young as 13. Names, descriptions, and images must not be offensive, obscene, pornographic, hateful, harassing, or gratuitously violent. If an event, deal, or league is only suitable for adults, set an appropriate minimum age so it reaches the right audience.

5. Legal and safe

Do not list anything that promotes illegal activity or poses a safety risk. Offerings that are age-restricted or regulated — for example alcohol, tobacco, or gambling — must comply with all applicable laws, and it’s your responsibility to enforce those requirements at your venue.

6. Be who you say you are

Only create listings for organizations you’re authorized to administer. Do not impersonate another business or brand, imply a sponsorship or affiliation that doesn’t exist, or use another organization’s name, logo, or images without permission. Only use content you own or have the rights to.

7. Reporting and enforcement

Anyone can report a listing from within the app, and we review reports promptly. When a listing violates these guidelines or our Terms of Service, we may remove it, suspend or remove admin access, or remove the organization — at our discretion and, for serious violations, without prior notice.

These guidelines supplement, and are governed by, the Terms of Service.
